Farine Five Roses

Price range: $35.00 through $98.00

Description

Montreal wouldn’t be the same without this sign! The Farine Five Roses neon landmark has crowned the city skyline since 1948. Originally it read “Farine Ogilvie Flour”—updated in the 1950s to promote the Five Roses brand, and simplified to “Farine Five Roses” after language laws removed the English “Flour” in 1977.

Perched above the old flour mill on Mill Street by the Lachine Canal, this iconic emblem has guided generations of Montrealers—“both the first and last thing you see” when entering the city.

Standing 15 feet tall, its glowing letters survive as a cherished neon beacon, preserved by public love and official heritage protection.

This poster is part of my photographic work, hand-illustrated from my own photos, transforming the nostalgia and magnetic glow of this landmark into art. Each piece is 100% sculpted by me—no AI involved.
